VISION
We envision a world in which women are free from gender-based hate, violence, limitations, and discrimination and where power and possibility are limited only by interest and aspiration and not by our identities. Our work focuses on people who identify as women or girls, including cis and trans people, and non-binary people affected by gender oppression.
VALUES
Equity: We believe that fair treatment, access, and opportunity require recognizing that everyone’s needs are different, and must be met in ways that identify and overcome intentional and unintentional barriers arising from bias or systemic structures. We believe that by achieving equity for people who are underserved and underrepresented, we achieve equity for all.
Communication: We believe in the power of respectful, compassionate, clear, and honest communication that is driven by mutual curiosity and interest.
Partnership: We work with others to move the world towards our vision.
Liberation: We recognize that multiple oppressions exist, and that we must work in solidarity to undo oppression in ourselves and our institutions. We believe that listening to and focusing on the needs of people who are most impacted is the highest priority.
Authenticity: We value the whole person and welcome all parts of ourselves.
