This discussion is specifically intended for those who are not currently in the legislature or working for the Department of Corrections, and will provide opportunities to:

- Voice the questions and concerns of those outside of DOC who are working most closely with incarcerated women

- Record those questions and concerns and share them later with legislators, DOC, BGS, and other policymakers in order to inform decisions about the future of incarceration for women in Vermont

- Provide an opportunity for people who are not currently involved in these discussions to begin to engage

- Increase transparency for the public

The forum is co-sponsored by Lund, Mercy Connections, the Vermont Network Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, Vermont Works for Women, and Women's Justice & Freedom Initiative.
